3 savvy AF Snapchat users to follow

The purpose of this post is to highlight three extremely skilled Snapchat users to learn from—these experts are savvy AF!

If you’re interested in learning social media and digital marketing skills, these three folks are a good place to start. Further, they are great for learning how to hustle.

Admittedly, I’m far from a snapchat expert.

I only started using it in second half of 2016. However, I instantly liked the platform better than Instagram because of the 24 hour time stamp.

Furthermore, I even wrote a post detailing how important it is for small businesses and bloggers to utilize it for free advertising.

That said, I haven’t been using it as a place to offer valuable tips or content like others have.

I mainly use it to chat with friends and showcase what I’m eating and drinking.

It’s neat to see into a 24 hour window of someone you’re following, though.

A blog post offers a view of ones organized thoughts, but a Snapchat story has the power to reveal the truth—snaps show what’s really going on.

Quite frankly, it’s my favourite social network to use since I starting using Twitter, and I think it’s just getting started.

That said, the following three Snapchat users are savvy AF…

Daniels Snaps offer both value and entertainment. He brings you inside the day-to-day life of a digital marketer in 2017.

Gary Vaynerchuk

garyveeGary Vaynerchuk is the CEO of Vaynermedia, a company that helps build brand equity.

He’s also the author of a recent book called #AskGaryVee, which is about an entrepreneurs take on leadership, social media, and self-awareness.

It’s a book I’ve been meaning to read. That said, Gary is great to follow on Snapchat for motivation because he gives you a real time view of his hustle. He frequently timestamps his early morning work meet ups to showcase his unsurpassable work ethic.

You can follow him on Twitter via @garyvee. You can follow him on Snap @ garyvee.

Yesjulz

yesjulzYesjulz is the self-proclaimed ‘Director of Vibes’, and it’s a well deserved title.

She’s a “never not working” type of person.

Follow her on Snapchat for new music, new clothes, and non-stop partying.

You can follow on @ yesjulz.

Conclusion

While the focus of the blog to continues to be on documenting my journey to financial independence through dividend investing and blogging, that doesn’t mean I can’t write about blogging and social media from time to time.

If you blog for long enough, it’s likely that you’ll gain some level of skill with WordPress and at least one or two social media networks.

Question: Are there any Snapchat/Social Media Experts that should be added to this list? Are you using Snapchat to promote your blog or business?

  1. You’ll be happy to know that I finally downloaded snapchat on my phone the other day. However, I have yet to create an account! Oops. I’ll get there eventually, I’ve just been debating if I want to have a personal account or a blogging account. Or both? I’ll decide some day.

      Hey Linda,
Great to hear from you! I am happy to hear you downloaded Snapchat on your phone. I think it’s a pretty fun app to use once you get the hang of it. Hopefully you like using it too! Please let me know whether you like it or not lol. The creating an account part does take time. Personally I think 2 accounts would be a lot to manage so I just use snap to share personal stuff and engage with others. But everyone has their own preferences. I’ll be sure to check out your stories on snapchat as soon as you do decide. Feel free to reach out if you got any questions on snapchat too! Take care 🙂

I’ve actually never used SnapChat. Do I need to turn in my millennial card? 🙂

      Hey TJ,
I only started using it 3-to-4 months ago so I think you’re ok lol.
It’s not for everyone, but it is a fun, unique social network to use. It’s a lot more about chatting and watching 10-second or less stories (photos/videos) of the people you follow. I think it’s pretty cool lol. And it’s actually a great way to meet people. Hope you’re having a great week!

  3. My sister in law has been using Snapchat for the past couple of years and she loves it. I know it was big on Wall Street for awhile because people would party and they would send their friends pics and then it would be gone.

Unfortunately I feel like I just missed the cusp of it making sense for me but will definitely have to revisit based on your suggestions.

      Hey MSM,
I use to consider myself an early adopter and think that I would’ve had snapchat right away in the past, especially if I was still working in the telecommunication industry. However, I was late to the show on this one.
But just like your sister in law, once I started using it, I was hooked. It’s a really fun and easy way to engage. It has this weird way of making the world seem so much smaller. Again, it’s not for everyone, but I think it has the potential to be a really cool opportunity for bloggers to further relationships. Thanks for commenting!

  4. Wow! Thank you so much for featuring me in this post it means a lot. 🙂

I’m scheduling this in Sendible to go out across various platforms multiple times. 🙂

    Thanks again!
